Crack the Safe and Win £5,000 as Saffron Building Society Opens New Branch in Braintree

Saffron Building Society is delighted to announce the grand opening of its new branch in Braintree on Friday, 23 January 2026. The new branch brings Saffron’s personal face-to-face savings service to the local community in Braintree.

The celebrations will begin at 9.30am, with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony taking plan at 12pm. Local residents, business owners and Saffron members are warmly invited to join the Society’s directors and Board as they officially open the new branch.

To mark this exciting milestone, the building society is hosting a competition where members of the public can test their luck by attempting to open the Saffron Safe for the chance to win one of ten cash prizes of between £5,000 and £100. Entrants just need to draw one of the special winning tickets and see if the code opens the safe – if it does, they’ll win the cash deposited into a new Saffron savings account of their choice! The challenge promises to add an element of excitement to the day’s celebrations and is open to both existing Saffron customers and those new to the Society.

The new Braintree branch will offer a full range of services, including savings accounts for members, community groups and local businesses. The branch will provide support and guidance and offer financial wellbeing reviews.
