Our Promises, Your Peace of Mind
Our Savings Promises provide you with additional peace of mind, including penalty-free access to your money if your life circumstances significantly change (e.g. critical illness, redundancy, etc).
Penalty-free access if your life circumstances significantly change
When life gets complicated the last thing you should have to worry about is money. So if your circumstances change and you need access to your savings to cope, we will review your account(s) and waive any penalties and withdrawal restrictions*. This even applies to fixed rate bonds and ISAs.
We won't remove your passbook
We will continue to offer passbooks as part of our commitment to supporting customers to save in a way that's right for them.
Earn the highest rate available when your savings mature
Sometimes our rates change between when we inform you of your options and your account’s maturity date. If you tell us before your account matures then we’ll give you the higher rate.
*A significant change in circumstances is defined as: critical or terminal illness, death, redundancy, nursing home or elderly care costs, divorce or court order, for you or an immediate relative.
