Full Terms & Conditions
This Promotion is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 or over, who are members of Saffron Building Society (defined in clause 2) since or before 1st June 2024, excluding employees of the Promoter, its agents and anyone professionally associated with this Promotion.
For the purposes of this promotion, you are an eligible member if you have held a personal savings or mortgage account with the Society continuously since 1 June 2024. No purchase necessary; however, an active mortgage or savings account are required. An active account is defined as follows: the account must have a known correspondence address, the account must have been transacted upon within the past 5 years and the account must be operated in conjunction with the account specific terms and conditions.
Promotion Period: The promotion is open between 00:01 BST on the 1 June 2025 and 23:59 BST on the 30 of June 2025 inclusive or until all 1,050 Gifts are claimed.
The Promotion may be pulled if the tranche limit is hit. The tranche size is 5,000 accounts across both the Member’s Month Loyalty Saver account and the Refer a Friend Saver account.
To Claim: Follow the below steps in order to receive your Gift:
Visit saffronbs.co.uk/membersmonth to open a Members’ Month Loyalty Saver account;
Once eligibility has been verified and the account has been opened, you will receive an email or a telephone call, depending on marketing preferences, with a unique ‘Refer a Friend Saver’ link;
Send the link to a friend who doesn’t already hold a Saffron Savings account; and
Instruct your friend to follow the link and complete a savings application form and the Refer a Friend form to provide their details (full name and email address) and the full name of the member who referred them in order to open a Refer a Friend Saver account.
Members’ Month Loyalty Saver Account and Refer a Friend Saver Account Details:
You'll need to keep a minimum of £1.00 in your account to get the interest rate.
The maximum amount you can pay into this account is £600.00 over the term.
You can manage the account online, on the mobile app, in branch, by post, by phone, on webchat.
You can only hold one account of this type of regular saver (Members Month Loyalty Saver).
You can make multiple payments to your account each calendar month as long as these payments do not exceed your maximum monthly allowance of £50.00.
If you miss any monthly payments you will lose your allowance for those months. If you do not use your full monthly allowance you will lose your unused allowance. If you pay in the full monthly allowance and take money out within same the month, the money taken out can't be replaced.
If you make a payment that causes you to go over the monthly allowance, the whole payment will be returned to you.
Payments to your account are managed by you and are your responsibility. You should check your payments are being made successfully each month. Your account will not be monitored by Saffron to ensure that money is being paid in.
Members’ Month Loyalty Saver Account and Refer a Friend Saver Account must be kept open until the Gift has been awarded, otherwise the Gift will not be received.
Maximum of 1 claim is permitted per account during the Promotion Period. Multiple referrals can be made, however, no account may receive more than 1 Gift.
The Gifts: There are 1,050 Gifts available. Each valid claimant will receive 1 x £15 National Book token once the Refer a Friend Saver account has been successfully opened, funded and verified by the Society.
Further Gift Details and Conditions:
The token will be sent to the referrer’s email address associated with their account.
Tokens cannot be exchanged for monetary value.
Tokens will expire 8 years from the date of last use.
Referrers will not receive a refund if the full value of the token is not used before the expiry date.

Gift Acceptance: Once eligibility has been confirmed, fulfilment of the Gifts will take place within 28 days of acceptance of the Gifts. In the unlikely event that a Gift does not arrive within 28 days, the claimant must inform the Promoter by emailing saffrondirect@saffronbs.co.uk within a further 28 days. If a claimant does not do so, the Promoter reserves the right to not reissue the Gift or limit its value at its sole discretion.
The decision of the Promoter is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
The Promoter may request that the claimants participate in publicity arising from the Promotion. Participation is at the claimant’s discretion and is not a condition of Gift Claiming.
The Promoter seeks to run a fair and secure promotion and prevent abuse and cheating. If you enter in a way that is not consistent with these Terms & Conditions, your claim (and any of your associated aliases) will be disqualified. Any Gift awarded may be void and recoverable. For this reason, the Promoter reserves the right at any point to:
Verify the eligibility of claimants through multiple means by requesting such information it consider reasonably necessary for this purpose. Claim or a Gift may be withheld until verification is completed.
Disqualify claims that are not made directly by the individual entering the Promotion.
Disqualify claims made using anonymous email services such as, but not limited to, GuerillaMail, Dispostable or Mailinator.
Disqualify bulk claims from individuals, trade, consumer groups or third parties, incomplete claims and claims submitted by macros or other automated means.
Disqualify claims beyond the maximum allowed, or those using techniques such as ‘script’, ‘brute force’, masking identity by manipulating IP addresses, using aliases or identities other than their own or any other means.
Disqualify claimants who tamper with the entry process.
Disqualify claimants which, in some other way, do not meet the requirements of these Terms & Conditions.
Cancel, modify or suspend the Promotion should it not be capable of running as planned for reasons including but not limited to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, dishonesty, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Promotion.
The Gifts are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for monetary value or for any other form of compensation. If for any reason a Gift is not available, the Promoter reserves the right, at its sole discretion to substitute that Gift for another of equal or greater value.
No responsibility can be taken for claims which are lost, delayed, corrupted, damaged, misdirected or incomplete or which cannot be delivered for any technical, delivery or other reason. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt. The Promoter does not guarantee continuous or secure access to saffronbs.co.uk/membersmonth.
The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies are not liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this Promotion (JS15493) or accepting or using the/a Gift(s), except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. Nothing will exclude the Promotor’s liability for death or personal injury as a result of its negligence.
The Promoter will not be liable for any delay or failure to comply with its obligations for reasons beyond its reasonable control arising from but not limited to Acts of God, global or regional epidemic or pandemic, adverse weather conditions, fire, industrial dispute, war, terrorist activity, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, plague or other natural calamities, or any other circumstances.
All personal data supplied for this Promotion will be used for the purpose of this Promotion and for research and analytical purposes by the Promoter and/or by any agent appointed by it to assist with running the Promotion. Personal data will not be disclosed to an unconnected third party unless your positive consent has been obtained. If any part/s of these Terms & Conditions are legally ruled to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, the remainder will not be affected and will continue in full force and effect.
By claiming, you will be deemed to have agreed to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
If there is a discrepancy between these Terms & Conditions and those in any promotional material, these Terms & Conditions will prevail.
These Terms & Conditions are governed by English law and their interpretation and application will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Residents of Scotland and Northern Ireland may bring proceedings in their own jurisdiction.
