Saffron Building Society social media competition, mainland UK, 18+ only. Open to residents of mainland United Kingdom aged 18 or over, excluding employees of the Promoter, its agents and anyone professionally associated with this Promotion. Competition opens at 10:30 on 24 August 2026 and closes at 23:59 on 4 September 2026. To enter, entrants must follow Saffron Building Society’s social media page and share their favourite local historical place, telling us why it matters to them, in response to the relevant competition post during the Promotion Period. One winner will receive one pair of complimentary tickets to BBC Gardeners’ World at Audley End, one for themselves and one for a guest, for use between 11 and 13 September 2026. Winner will be contacted and must confirm attendance within 48 hours. Reserve winners may be selected and may have less time to confirm attendance. This Promotion is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with any social media platform on which it is promoted. Prize is subject to availability, event terms, venue rules and any restrictions set by English Heritage, BBC Gardeners’ World Live or the event organiser. This Promotion is open to residents of mainland United Kingdom aged 18 or over, excluding employees of the Promoter, its agents and anyone professionally associated with this Promotion.
Promotion Period: The Promotion opens on 10:30 BST 24 August 2026 and closes at 23:59 BST on 4 September 2026. Entries received outside of the Promotion Period will not be valid.
To Enter: To enter, entrants must follow Saffron Building Society’s social media page and share their favourite local historical place, telling us why it matters to them, in response to the relevant competition post during the Promotion Period. No purchase is necessary.
Only one entry is permitted per person during the Promotion Period. Multiple entries from the same person, duplicate entries, entries submitted through multiple accounts or entries made using automated methods may be disqualified.
The Prize: There is one prize available. The prize is one pair of complimentary tickets to BBC Gardeners’ World at Audley End, consisting of two tickets in total: one for the winner and one for their guest. The prize is valid for use between 11 and 13 September 2026 only.
Winner Selection: One winner will be selected at random from all valid entries received during the Promotion Period. The winner will be notified through the relevant social media platform or by another contact method reasonably available to the Promoter.
The winner will be contacted and must confirm attendance within 48 hours of being notified. If the winner does not respond within 48 hours, is found to be ineligible, or is unable to accept the prize, the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner from the reserve winners or remaining valid entries.
Reserve winners may be selected at the same time as the original winner. If a reserve winner is contacted, they may have less than 48 hours to confirm attendance due to the date of the event and the remaining time available to administer the prize.
Prize Details and Conditions: The prize is subject to event availability, venue rules, entry conditions and any restrictions set by English Heritage, BBC Gardeners’ World Live or the event organiser. The prize is valid only for the date, time and event specified by the Promoter or prize provider and cannot be used for any other event, date or venue unless expressly agreed by the prize provider.
Travel, parking, accommodation, food, drink, spending money, insurance and any other costs or expenses connected with accepting or using the prize are not included and will be the responsibility of the winner and/or their guest.
The prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable and has no cash value. The prize must not be sold, traded, bartered or otherwise offered for resale. The prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, discount or promotion unless expressly stated by the prize provider.
No responsibility can be taken for entries or communications which are lost, delayed, corrupted, damaged, misdirected or incomplete, or which cannot be delivered or completed for any technical, delivery or other reason. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt.
This Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Meta, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, or any other social media platform on which the Promotion is promoted. By entering, entrants release the relevant social media platform from any responsibility in relation to the Promotion.
The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies are not liable for any loss, expense or damage which is suffered or sustained in connection with this Promotion or accepting or using the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. Nothing will exclude the Promoter’s liability for death or personal injury as a result of its negligence.
The Promoter will not be liable for any delay or failure to comply with its obligations for reasons beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to adverse weather conditions, fire, industrial dispute, war, terrorist activity, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, global or regional epidemic or pandemic, event cancellation, venue closure, government direction or any other circumstances beyond reasonable control.
All personal data supplied for this Promotion will be used for the purpose of administering this Promotion and, where applicable, for research and analytical purposes by the Promoter and/or any agent appointed by it to assist with running the Promotion. Personal data will not be disclosed to an unconnected third party unless your positive consent has been obtained or where disclosure is required to administer the Promotion. If any part/s of these Terms & Conditions are legally ruled to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, the remainder will not be affected and will continue in full force and effect.
By entering the Promotion or accepting or using the prize, entrants will be deemed to have agreed to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and any applicable event, venue or prize provider terms.
If there is a discrepancy between these Terms & Conditions and those in any promotional material, these Terms & Conditions will prevail.
These Terms & Conditions are governed by English law and their interpretation and application will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Residents of Scotland and Northern Ireland may bring proceedings in their own jurisdiction.
