Overview of the Role

We are recruiting for a Head of Marketing, Product and Insight to lead our Marketing function and provide operational leadership and delivery. This role will be responsible for building the brand and drive customer development and insight.

This role will report directly into our Chief Commercial Officer and partner with internal stakeholders to support with brand and customer success. Our successful Head of Marketing will play a key role is delivering on our strategic goals and objectives, and truly make a difference by contributing to the Society’s CVP.

This is an exciting opportunity to lift our brand through creative and innovation ideas and lead our marketing strategy with energy and credibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the Marketing team to be a centre of excellence.
  • Lead the delivery of the Marketing plan in support of the corporate plan giving appropriate consideration to distribution and customer requirements, third party support, CRM and communications plans.
  • Oversee product development, working closely with the Senior Product Manager to develop a product strategy.
  • Providing support to ensure audit processes for product development is carried out and are compliant, and following product governance.
  • Responsible to drive commercial performance through executing sales & marketing plans and activities, ensuring these are relevant and adapted in line with business needs.
  • To establish a direct and measurable link between the marketing plan and value added in lead generation, financial return and brand equity.
  • Lead the development of an effective customer relationship management capability, working with the Chief Commercial Officer. 
  • To ensure that all of the societies marketing literature is clear fair and not misleading and delivers against the effective TCF principles across the Group.
  • Act as a “brand guardian” for all Saffron Group’s corporate identity and work with internal business units to create literature and websites, ensuring all marketing communications are consistent and meet strategic objectives.
  • Coordinating Saffron group’s seminars, conferences and member engagement/activities.
  • Manage relationships with our PR agency, develop relationships with journalists and maximise brand coverage in national, trade and local media.
