Overview of the Role

Our successful Intermediary team are looking for a Business Development Assistant to join their team and develop their career within Mortgage Sales. This role will be a largely phone based where you will be dealing with brokers and supporting the team with general administration. Full training will be provided.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hardworking, confident, quick thinking and influential individual with the ability to multi-task and remain calm under pressure. 
We are looking for a natural people person with excellent communication skills; a crucial part of this role will be dealing with external brokers and support the Business Development Managers with their accounts to ensure key relationships flourish. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage incoming telephone calls and emails to the team.
  • To manage LiveChat and provide online support to intermediaries
  • Enable all Intermediaries to have an understanding of relevant criteria and products as well being able to submit new mortgage business to Saffron For Intermediaries
  • Ensure all new broker registrations are actioned within 24 hours to enable Intermediaries to submit business and send the welcome calls to the relevant TBDM
  • Provide brokers with direction and guidance to the Saffron For Intermediaries website and relevant pages/links where information can be found
  • Effective promotion of the Society; its service and products
  • Develop the Society profile and increase intermediary market share
  • Effectively promote a quality and right first time case submission ethic with all intermediaries
  • Pro-actively support external stakeholders and business partners
  • Research and feedback industry trends, product initiatives and market intelligence

This is a 12 month fixed term contract role working 35 hours per week. We operate a flexible working approach.
