What is an AGM & how do I attend?

An Annual General Meeting (AGM) is the coming together of all the shareholders of an organisation to discuss aspects of company business. This is our 174th AGM and for us they’re a brilliant chance to hear from our members. Our members part-own the Society and have a say on how we are run. Each year we invite all eligible members to vote for Board members and therefore shape how the Society is run in the future. It’s a key part of being a member and we encourage you to take part! At Saffron Building Society we're proud of our mutual status and the long-term benefits it brings to our members, it is important that you have your say, and the AGM is the perfect place to do this.

Please see our AGM notice here

To make it easier for more members to attend, the AGM will be fully virtual. It will be hosted on an online platform which will allow you to watch the meeting.

On 25 April, simply go to https://attend.cesjoinin.com and enter the Meeting ID 30279 and your Online Voting Codes, which are located either on the email you received or on your paper form. These codes are unique to you and should not be shared with anyone else. The meeting will be accessible one hour before the start time. We recommend that you join at least 15 minutes before the start of the meeting. For further information on how to use CESjoinIN, please view the quick guide at: www.cesjoinin.com/attendeequickguide.

We encourage you to ask questions. This is a valuable chance for us to get to know our members and hear what interests them about the Society. There are two ways to ask questions:

  • Before the AGM. You can submit these questions to agm@saffronbs.co.uk. The answers will then be given at the meeting.
  • At the AGM. Please note, due to time restrictions it’s possible that we won’t be able to answer all questions on the day and may need to follow up with you afterwards.

We look forward to seeing you at the AGM!
