Saffron staff celebrate 2010 Charity Achievement
Following a year of fundraising, volunteering and advocacy for Kisses 4 Kids, Saffron Building Society branches have been celebrating their year's achievements.
Bishop's Stortford, Royston and Ware branches teamed up, together with departments from the Society's Head Office, to raise awareness of Kisses 4 Kids' work.
Through dressing up as Disney characters to abseiling, rowing challenges and simply accepting donations throughout the year, the branches raised over £1,800 for the local charity.
Lin Pollard, Charity Coordinator for the branch teams said: "Kisses 4 Kids is a charity close to our hearts, so we were delighted when our customers picked it as the one we should support in 2010.
"We've had a lot of fun this year in supporting such a dynamic charity, and I have to thank all of our customers who really got behind our efforts, donated generously, and have made everything that we have done really worthwhile. The money will make a huge difference to the work of Kisses 4 Kids and help poorly children in our area to have an even better Christmas".
