Saffron Building Society moves to bigger branch in Brentwood
Saffron Building Society, the regional mutual serving the East of England, has announced a relocation of its branch in Brentwood.
The current branch on Ongar Road will close on Friday 10th September, and the new branch, situated at 21 High Street will open on Monday 13th September.
The new branch is located on the main stretch of the High Street, and Saffron Chief Executive Andy Golding is confident that it will prove more convenient for customers and a more pleasant working environment for Saffron's staff.
Andy Golding said: "The last few years have presented local businesses with very challenging trading conditions, so we are particularly proud to be investing in our branch network at this time.
"The new branch is larger with additional interview rooms and more space to serve customers, so we have successfully recruited further staff from within the Brentwood area. We take pride in our status as a local employer and our new staff will be offered a range of training and development to allow them to broaden their skills and expand their roles as they progress at Saffron."
The new branch will showcase a number of new features and services, Andy explained: "The relocation presents a brilliant opportunity to modernise and refit the branch to suit the needs of our customers. We are building in additional seating areas and customer computer terminals for those who wish to access our online accounts."
"Saffron have been serving customers in Brentwood for many years, but we have always felt that a small branch and out-of-the-way our location has been ripe for improvement.
