Saffron Building Society and Saffron IFA to hold FREE corporate pensions event
Saffron Building Society and their independent subsidiary, Saffron Independent Financial Advisers Limited (Saffron IFA) today announce a run of free seminars, designed to support local businesses and professionals in meeting forthcoming changes to pension legislation.
The events, to be held around the regional building society's branch network, are open to any business or professionals who are faced with questions and decisions regarding the introduction of the new National Employment Savings Trust (NEST). For some businesses, the introduction of a compulsory occupational pension scheme will start in October 2012.
The seminar is offered by Saffron Building Society and Saffron IFA, in partnership with industry experts Aviva. Those attending the seminar will leave with an understanding of:
- Who the new legislation will affect
- Potential costs to the business, staff and colleagues
- Alternatives to the NEST scheme under the new legislation
- Suggestions for meeting any new costs that may be incurred
Delegates will also have the opportunity to put their own questions to Aviva's pension experts and Saffron's specialist Independent Financial Advisers.

The events are being held in the first two weeks of July as follows:
- Fanhams Hall Hotel, Ware - Wednesday 6th July
- Colchester United Football Club - Thursday 7th July
- Priory Hotel, Bury St. Edmunds - Tuesday 12th July
- St John's Innovation Centre, Cambridge - Wednesday 13th July
Each seminar meets at 9am for a 9:30am start, will run for around an hour, and includes breakfast and refreshments. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
