Building Society announces Local Charity of the Year
Following a month-long member voting process, Saffron Building Society is delighted to announce that Little Haven Hospice has been selected as Charity of the Year for Great Dunmow, Stratford and Brentwood branches.
The charity will now enjoy a year of support from the Society through fundraising, volunteering and advocacy.
John Eastgate, Sales and Marketing Director, said:
"Our charity voting has been a great success and we're pleased to be supporting a charity in each branch area that is of importance to both our staff and members alike. We now look forward to working with the winning charities to help make a difference to those that they support. You can expect to see Saffron staff getting stuck in to tasks and fundraising opportunities throughout the year.
"I'm sure there will also be a competitive element between the branches; they're already roping in teams from our Head Office, and I'm delighted to see more and more staff getting involved with the branches' campaigns".
The runners-up in the charity vote have been sent a small donation from the Society.
