Society's party is icing on the cake for Hospice

Saffron Building Society, the regional mutual serving the East of England, is delighted to announce that, following the parties to celebrate its 160th Anniversary, it has raised £1000 for local charity St. Helena Hospice.

Staff at the Society's Halstead branch took part in the Hospice's Midnight Walk on 6th June and £785 for the Hospice in sponsorship. They then chose to support the Hospice during their 160th Anniversary Celebrations, held on 7th July in the High Street. The event raised over £150, and a final donation from the Society brings the total to £1000.

Charlotte Cranfield, Corporate Account Manager, St Helena Hospice said:

"We are delighted that Saffron's staff chose to join us on our Midnight Walk and have continued to support us through their party. To have raised £1000 is a brilliant achievement and will make a real difference to the Hospice."

Sales and Marketing Director John Eastgate said:

"Saffron is committed to supporting local good causes such as St. Helena Hospice, particularly where the charity is close to the hearts of our staff. The £1000 raised reflects the success of the parties, the generosity of local people, and the enthusiasm of our staff who have raised the majority of the donation themselves. We're very proud of them!"
