Following a local party to celebrate its 160th Anniversary on 7th August, Saffron Building Society is delighted to announce that it has raised a further £150 for St. Helena Hospice.
Over the course of the day, Saffron welcomed over 260 people to its branch for refreshments and cake; the Society donated 25p for every person wearing a '160' Birthday Badge.

Local Children get stuck in to party fun.
Face-painting in the branch and roaming stilt walker entertained the party-goers, and over 200 helpings of candyfloss were given out from the Society's Mobile Communications Vehicle on the market. Part of the £150 total was made up by the contributions of party visitors; the rest was donated by the Society itself.
Sales and Marketing Director John Eastgate said:
"Throwing the party was our way of thanking our customers and local people, whilst raising money for a good cause. We feel we have a lot to celebrate, and it was fantastic that so many people came in to celebrate with us."
