Local Building Society searches for the Faces of Saffron
Saffron Building Society, the regional building society serving the East of England, is searching for long-serving customers as part of its 160th Anniversary celebrations.
The appeal is going out across all of Saffron's 12 branches for families with multiple generations of savers and borrowers. For those that come forward, there is the opportunity to feature in the press, on the Saffron website and even on posters around our branches.
John Eastgate, Sales and Marketing Director said:
"We wanted to mark our 160th Anniversary with real Saffron customers. As a local mutual, we are owned by our members; they are at the heart of everything we do, and this is a good opportunity to look back at our history in terms of the people we serve. As our computer database doesn't go back 160 years, we're hoping members will come to us! We're keen to hear the experiences of long-serving customers - they can help us to trace our connections back through the local community."
Families who have a story to tell are encouraged to contact the Society with details of their families' history, enclosing photos of the Saffron account holders. The families Saffron select will be rewarded with a professional photoshoot and free framed family portrait.
The search for the 'Faces of Saffron' is just one aspect of Saffron's 160th Anniversary celebrations. John said:
"We have a number of activities lined up to commemorate the 160th Anniversary. Our members can look forward to some rewarding product offers - we wanted to take the opportunity to thank the people who have stayed loyal to Saffron over the years. We're also giving something back to the community with our 160 hours volunteering scheme. Finally, you can expect a bit of fun too. There aren't many Financial Services who can boast such a long history; and we feel that we have a lot to celebrate"
