Community

Saffron Building Society is a mutual, which means that we are owned by you, our members, and exist solely for your benefit.

As part of that commitment we continually strive to strengthen and build further on the products and services we offer to our membership.

To do this it is vital we receive your views on how the building society operates.

As well as our annual questionnaire that obtains valuable feedback on our products and services, we also organise membership panels. These involve a representative sample of the Society's membership meeting on a regular basis to discuss issues affecting the Society.

To say thank you to our members for their continuing support we also aim to give something back to the communities which we serve.

This has included running a highly successful charities and sponsorship programme and the creation of our mobile communications vehicle (MCV) to attend events taking place throughout the region.

Non Executive Director

Non Executive Directors make up the majority of the Society board. In line with best practice in corporate governance directors normally serve for a term of 6 years and as a result vacancies do arise from time to time.
