Annual General Meeting

The AGM takes place approximately 4 months after the year-end, falling in April each year. It's an opportunity to get an overview of the past year and put any questions that you have to our Board of Directors, face to face.

We send out details of the AGM to every member in advance of the meeting. Notices also go up in branches with information about the meeting. The AGM mailing also includes a voting pack for you to have your say on key society issues.

All members are welcome to attend and we would like as many members to vote as possible. Remember - even if you can't attend the AGM, you are entitled to vote by post or online prior to the event. As encouragement, for every vote cast we will donate 20p to our charity of the year (at the 2009 AGM this was Martin & Su's Essex Kids).

The AGM often includes a survey which can be completed in paper form or online - a key opportunity for us to seek feedback from our entire membership.

Our AGM venue will always be one within easy reach of our Head Office and accessible to those within our branch network.
