Mobile Communications Vehicle
Saffron's region encompasses many smaller, rural communities. For them, community events are often in the open air and run on a tight budget; whether they're village fêtes, charity fundraisers, carnivals, sports days or even dog shows!
We're no stranger to events teams approaching us with requests for help. So we created the Mobile Communications Vehicle.
Without the MCV, we would have had real difficulty with a sound system and would have probably had to spend quite a sum of money hiring one, so your MCV is invaluable to the charity groups you lend it to. Keeping our costs down will ensure that more money comes direct to the Hospice supporting the care we provide to the local community, so thank you!
Our Mobile Communications Vehicle (or MCV) is a fully-equipped trailer which Saffron hires out to community events across the region. It includes a state-of-the-art PA system, a gas hob, a fully functioning sink, and its own power source.
It opens fully on one side and has a 'serving hatch' on the other, making it ideal for use as a broadcasting station, catering unit, information point or event HQ.
We deliver the MCV to your event and collect it afterwards for a small mileage charge (currently 70p a mile, measured from Saffron Walden). Hire of the unit is FREE.
