Saffron Building Society has become the latest sponsor of Saffron Walden's community cinema - Saffron Screen.
The cinema, which was established last year at the town's High School, has welcomed 30,000 movie-goers through its doors to enjoy a mix of children's, mainstream and art-house films.
However, the cinema needs sponsors to help its work, through providing cash for maintenance, equipment and to meet staffing costs. Saffron Building Society is the latest local organisation to help the cinema, with the Society's logo appearing on the screen before every film.
Rebecca del Tufo, chair of Saffron Screen, said: "We're absolutely delighted that Saffron Building Society has decided to come on board and sponsor the cinema. The £1,000 sponsorship cost will help us to keep running and providing the cinema for our local community."
Andy Golding, Saffron Building Society chief executive, said: "The Society prides itself on being at the heart of the communities we serve and we're always looking for ways in which we can help any local charities or voluntary groups that make a real difference to the region.
"By sponsoring Saffron Screen we're helping to ensure that this fantastic local cinema continues to provide a varied, educational and, most of all, entertaining selection of films for the community to enjoy."
