Staff at the Saffron Building Society put their best feet forward to support this year's Pink Ribbon Run/Walk in Royston.
Three members of the Society's Royston branch, led by manager Cristina Fonseca, pulled on their trainers and completed the Royston Heath three-mile event, raising £260 through sponsorship from family and friends. As part of Saffron's charitable giving programme, this amount was matched by the Society - resulting in a £460 donation for Cancer Research UK.
Cristina Fonseca commented: "It was a brilliant day, Donna and Debbie walked the route, but as part of my sponsorship I'd said I would walk half the route and run half the route. The highlight had to be having my name called out as I crossed the line!
"We took part in last year's event and we're already planning next year's, where we're hoping the run will be able to use the PA system on our mobile communications vehicle, which was also attending."
Andy Golding, Saffron Building Society chief executive, said: "We like to think of Saffron as an integral part of the community it serves and we are especially keen in supporting local events, particularly when they are for such a good cause.
"Debbie, Donna and Cristina did a great job at the event and we're proud to match the amount they raised."
