Brentwood teenager provides new website for building society
Saffron Building Society's youngest customers will soon have a section of the company's website of their own - designed by a Brentwood teenager.
A competition to design the new children's area of the website was announced by the Society at the start of the year. The competition also gave the opportunity to influence what will appear on the website.
After being inundated with entries, the Society chose Hannah Young's design.
The Ursuline Convent High School pupil's winning vision is currently being converted into the home page of the site for junior members and to thank Hannah for her work, Saffron Building Society presented her with a new iPod Nano and speakers.
Sarah Darling, Saffron Building Society marketing manager, presented Hannah with her prize at the Society's Brentwood branch.
She said: "Saffron Building Society takes its children's savings accounts seriously and they regularly appear in the best buy tables.
"We wanted to make the site accessible and usable for our younger members and Hannah's design will certainly help us to do that.
"We will be inviting Hannah to our head offices soon to see her site in production before it goes live in the late summer."
