We're a mutual, which means that we are owned by you, our members, and exist solely for your benefit.
As a mutual we can put all our surplus funds back into the organisation to benefit members through higher interest rates for savers and lower rates for borrowers and provide better services. We also use the surplus to increase our reserves to give extra security and stability.
Assets
The Society has been in existence for more than 160 years and has assets of £784 million.
Members
It's obvious our 90,000 members are important. Without them we could not exist. But they also help guide the direction we take in our decisions about products and services. This helps us move with the times and respond to changing needs.
